At Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships, we know that there are a lot of SUVs out there. We'd like to point out, though, that not all of them can do what the Durango can. The Dodge Durango outperforms most of the competition, and it does so in style.
There are four available engines with the Durango. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that's quite powerful, having almost 300 horsepower and a towing capacity of 6,200 pounds. It's available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The remaining choices are V8 engines. The first V8 can make 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The next one is a bit bigger, so it's able to generate 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The final option is a massive supercharged engine. It has an incredible 710 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque. Any of these V8s would give the Durango a towing capacity of 8,700 pounds.
