Capability and durability go hand in hand. That's why the Ram 1500 excels in both categories. It is our Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships family's favorite light-duty pickup. The following durability features explain why.

Tow up to 12,750 Pounds

The Ram 1500 has a 12,750-pound towing capacity and a 2,300-pound max payload capacity. That's the kind of towing that lets you drag a car trailer, small boats and tiny houses from one end of Lima to the other. What contributes to the Ram 1500's impressive towing capacity. Many factors. One such factor is the Ram 1500's high-strength steel frame. It makes the Ram 1500 immensely strong, rigid and extremely crashworthy. It also helps the Ram 1500 retain structural integrity while towing tons.

Engine Built for Power

The Ram 1500's engine lineup also accounts for part of its towing capacity. Its strongest engine is a 395-horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8 churning out 410 lb.-ft. of torque. It also boasts eTorque, a Mild Hybrid Technology System. The system utilizes a 48-volt motor that contributes an additional 130 lb.-ft. of torque.
