When you purchase a vehicle from us, you will receive the Tom Ahl Pro Certified Lifetime Warranty. This warranty covers all new vehicles and most used vehicles that are under the remaining factory warranty. Whether you have a Chrysler warranty, Dodge warranty, Jeep warranty, Ram warranty, Buick warranty, GMC warranty, or Hyundai warranty, it is so important to understand what your responsibilities are as the vehicle owner. Here at Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships, we want to make certain that you are doing a few key things that will help you to get the most out of your vehicle warranty.
REQUIRED MAINTENANCE - It is the owner's responsibility to maintain and service the vehicle according to the service and maintenance schedule published by the manufacturer of the vehicle. The owner is required to perform all scheduled maintenance in order for this Limited Warranty to remain in effect. Should the owner fail to maintain the vehicle according to the service and maintenance schedule, which is published by the manufacturer, or if the owner's failure to maintain the vehicle is a cause of the mechanical failure, the claim will be restricted or denied.
REQUIRED RECORDKEEPING - It is the owner's responsibility to keep accurate repair orders and maintenance receipts issued by the repair facility where the vehicle was serviced. Each repair order should show the date of repair, the odometer reading on that date, and a detailed listing of the services performed and parts replaced.
SELF-SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE - In the event that the owner performs their own maintenance services, the owner must retain original proof-of-purchase receipts. The receipts must clearly show the date the service was performed and the parts/lubricants replaced. In addition, the receipts must include a notation of the odometer reading at the time the maintenance was performed.
CONTINUED OPERATION - When a known problem exists with the vehicle, it is the owner's responsibility to take all reasonable steps and use all reasonable means to protect the vehicle from further damage resulting from continued operation. If you notice that something just doesn't seem right with your vehicle, have it looked at by a professional so that you do not risk losing your warranty coverage.
As the vehicle and warranty owner, it is also your responsibility to file any necessary claims on your warranty. It is a good beginning move to return the vehicle to one of our Tom Ahl Family of Dealership locations for the issue to be addressed. In the event that this is not possible, contact your warranty administrator for instructions. Also, please be aware that it is your responsibility to authorize any charges that are deemed necessary to diagnose problems. Here at Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships, we are thrilled that you purchased your new or used vehicle from us, and we look forward to helping you keep it running like the day you drove off our lot!
