Chrysler Helps the Province of Ontario


Can an auto maker help one place survive in today's struggling economy? If companies like Chrysler have a will, they also have a way. Makers of the all new Chrysler 200 have helped the Province of Ontario take $322 millions dollars off of their $16 billion dollar tab to the Canadian government. Ontario's gain of a $468 million dollar total repayment from Chrysler, along with an extra $43 million in tax revenue, will hopefully be a healthy start to the region's slow climb back up the ladder.

Ram And Walmart Partner Up


Next time you drive yout all new Ram 1500 to the nearest Walmart, you may get an extra special treat. Ram Trucks and outlet store giant Walmart are teaming up to give back to its members.

 

The plan is to cross promote lines of hunting and outdoor gear, including camouflage outfits, camping tools and other accessories for outdoor adventures, along with the release of the upcoming 1500 pickup.

Fiat Gains Majority Hold of Chrysler


Italian auto maker Fiat currently owns a 53.5% stake in Chrysler.  This makes Fiat the majority stakeholder.  Over the past couple years Chrysler has experienced lows and highs.  And since the recession Chrysler has been widely accepted again by consumers.

 

Thanks to Fiats majority hold over the American automaker, US taxpayers are off the hook with having to contribute any more for Chrysler's bankruptcy. However, experts believe they are unlikely to recover $1.3 billion owed by the previous incarnation of Chrysler.
