Jeep Honor Celebrates Its Military Heritage

Jeep was responsible for building one of the first off road vehicles ever made. After building vehicles for the military, they produced the first civilian model in 1945. With the Jeeps ability to tackle almost any road or weather condition, it was a favorite of military personal. To celebrate its long standing heritage, Jeep has recently announced a new model dubbed the 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition. This will be the second model that pays tribute to the men and women in our military, joining the Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition. For each of these two models sold, Jeep will donate $250 to military charities.

Mike Manley, President and CEO of the Jeep brand, explains, "We have created the 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition as a tribute to the brave men and women that have served, while acknowledging the Jeep brand's renowned military history." He also adds, "With segment-leading 4x4 capability, fuel economy up to 30 miles per gallon, and a unique inspiring appearance, the Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition is certain to appeal to consumers."1

The two models are limited edition and will be selling for an MSRP of $21,445. They will made available in a fitting red, white or blue.
