GMC Sierra Receives Bi-Fuel, CNG Variant


Many argue that Compressed Natural Gas, or CNG, is one of the most viable resources and will one day power all automobiles. It's a valuable, inexpensive renewable resource, that much is a fact. GMC is wasting no time utilizing it. Next generation GMC Sierra models now available from Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships at 2525 Allentown Road in Lima, OH will offer a CNG variant.

GMC Trucks Will Be Natural Gas Ready By 2012


Compressed Natural Gas might become a more common way to power your pickup sooner than you think. GMC Trucks, like the GMC Sierra, will head to Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships in Lima, OH with a CNG option as early as next year.

 

General Motors is currently testing several vehicles for CNG engine use. Aside from pickups, the Savanna cargo van is testing this technology. CNG is produced by compressing natural gas to less than 1% of the volume it occupies. It is typically stored and distributed in hard, spherical containers.
