Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram Recall for Transmission Problems

The friendly staff at Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships will be here for you come rain or shine, whether you're looking for a little maintenance or you find yourself in need of a new or used vehicle from our vast lineup. We'll also be here should you find yourself affected by a recall and, unfortunately, that's just what we're here to announce today so read on for the details.

There are three Chrysler Group models affected by the recall in question: the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Ram 1500, all with all-wheel drive and from the 2013 model year. If this describes the vehicle you drive, you will be receiving notification from the automaker in the mail soon about this issue.

The problem is that the output shaft in the eight-speed automatic transmission may fracture or break. If the vehicle is in operation, the driver may be left without power and risk of accident will increase. If the vehicle is parked and unattended, even with the parking break engaged, a broken output shaft could result in rollaway, also increasing the risk of accident and injury to others.

Should you receive official notification, contact our service center at your first opportunity. The skilled technicians at our Lima, OH location will get the problem fixed up at no cost so you can get back to your day, free of automotive worry and woe. Until we see you again, drive safely and keep an eye on your vehicle's performance.
