Dodge has officially revealed its all-new, third-generation Durango. This S.U.V. has a brand new body style and a new look to it's grille.
While the Durango shares the Grand Cherokee's fully independent suspension design, it has been tuned for on-road performance. This brand new S.U.V. will be available with rear-wheel and 4-wheel drive. "It handles well and is a lot of fun to drive, yet it offers large S.U.V. capability," Nick Cappa, a Dodge spokesman said.
A closer look into what the 2011 Durango has to offer:
Durango buyers will have their choice of two engines: a 3.6-liter V-6 or a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8. No horsepower numbers have been released for the engines. The V-8 will be fitted with a Multi-Displacement System that shuts down 4 cylinders at cruising speeds.
It is said that the three-row interior is more passenger friendly than what earlier Durangos had to offer. The Dodge corporation did state in a press release that there are 22 different seating configurations offering "plenty of room to store and move plenty of people and their gear.
